I found Jesus Christ Superstar soundtrack to have some amazing melodies and instrumentation.
I loved how this story was shared evenly with Judas and Mary Magdalene. For all three characters Tim Rice brought created deep characters with their human perspectives.
I think JCS shares this stories with eyes wide open. Not to say that its perspective should be so much embraced, but it is a different perspective.
